The Easiest Ingredients
This recipe is quite flexible
- Cherry Tomatoes -fill up your edged baking sheet(s)
- Sweet Bell Pepper- 1/2 Cup
- Onion- 1/2 Cup
- Garlic- 2-3 Cloves
- Olive Oil- light coating on the pan (roll tomatoes on top)
The Easiest Instructions
Preheat Oven to 350
Lightly coat the baking sheet in Olive Oil, place tomatoes on and roll them.
Cut up the Onions, Peppers and Garlic – Strips or chunks works!
Bake for 30 minutes or until tomatoes start to dimple.
Use a spatula to place into a blender, draining as much of the liquid onto the pan. (Do not dump off the tray)
Blend your sauce and it is ready for eating!
Luckily, the easiest cherry tomato pasta sauce is also easy to preserve. Simply add your sauce with a squirt of lemon juice into clean sterilized jars with new lids and water bath them for about 35 minutes. The lemon juice helps ensure the acidity is safe for canning. 1/2 tsp per quart.
